9inch Crimped Flan Loose Base and Sponge Insert
Bake light and fluffy flans every time with Silverwood's Crimped flan tin. This tin is designed with a pencil fluted edge, which is ideal for pastry and sponge flans used for soft fruit desserts. It can also be used for quiches, tarts, pastries and other desserts. There's no need to 'blind bake' pastry - simply place your filled flan into a hot oven without delay.
The pan includes two loose bases: (i) a flat base; and (ii) a sponge insert, which creates a well for fillings. Bases are to be used separately.
Silverwood bakeware is handcrafted using traditional techniques from strong, professional grade anodised aluminium. This means easy-clean, easy-release properties that will not warp, distort or rust. The special alloy core used in Silverwood bakeware spreads heat fast and evenly, producing perfect baking in a reduced time.

Lightly grease the cookware to help guarantee that your bakes slide out with ease. Do not use olive oil for greasing, as it is a poor release agent, and may cause a sticky film to build up over time.
Due to the heat spread technology in Silverwood bakeware, cooking temperatures may need to be reduced by 10-15 degrees. Check cooking progress after 2/3 of normal cooking time. Oven safe to 230C.
After use, wash in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry. Not suitable for the dishwasher.
