Seaweed Sea Salt (Hamamishio)
Seaweed Sea Salt (Hamamishio)
Hamamishio Seaweed Salt is produced by artisan salt craftsmen at Hakumatsu Inc., which was established in 1973. It uses sea water collected from Nagasaki, along with seaweeds such as arame and sargassum fulvellum.
Salt makers soak the sun-dried seaweeds in sea water, then boil the seaweeds till the salt content and flavour of the seaweed is concentrated before filtering it. An umami rich salt, which is perfect as a condiment for grilled meats and seafood is the final product.
It is great for making deep-fried food, such as tempura. Also good as a finishing salt for grilled and fried foods, or for seasoning before cooking.
No preservatives or additives.
Please note we do not refund or exchange food products.
