Nutmeg Whole Shelled

Whole nutmegs may be shaved or grated freshly over many dishes.

Nutmeg and mace are contained within a yellow to light-brown fleshy fruit resembling a peach. Nutmeg is regarded as a sweet spice and used in sweet dishes, with fruit and in pastries. It complements vegetables such as pumpkin, carrot and spinach.

Nutmeg and mace are not interchangeable as their flavours are different.
