Bonsai root cutters are used to trim roots during repotting to help control the growth of the plant. Trimming the roots also helps to promote a finer, healthier root system. Their sharp, precise blades facilitate quick healing and create a flat surface for repotting.
As a guide, this Root Cutter can cut roots 1/3 – 1/2 the length of the blade; approximately 4mm – 7mm roots.

Japanese traditionally use Camellia (Tsubaki) Oil to treat high carbon steel tools. Other suitable oils may also be used. Ensure the blade is clean and dry before applying Camellia Oil. Simply wipe the blade with a clean cloth impregnated with Camellia Oil. Re-apply after each use.
