Red Boat Fish Sauce 40 Degrees N is made from wild-caught black anchovies and sea salt. This fish sauce is barrel-aged using a centuries-old fermentation tradition. After 12 months of fermentation, the sauce is bottled from the first press of the barrel.

Degrees N is an industry standard used to measure the amount of nitrogen (N), a significant factor in determining the quality of fish sauce. A higher degree of nitrogen indicates a higher level of protein; more protein means more umami flavour. Red Boat Fish Sauce has double to triple the amount of protein compared to its competitors - more delicious umami flavouring!
